HARRISBURG, December 21, 2010 – – State Senator-elect John P. Blake today announced that he has opened a temporary district office in the Oppenheim Building in Scranton.
The office, located in the Mezzanine at 409 Lackawanna Ave Suite 1, will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. His permanent office, when ready, will also be located inside the Oppenheim Building.
“While I look forward to dialogue with my constituents on legislation and government issues, I also want them to be aware of the wide range of available government programs and services that my staff can help them access,” Blake said. “It is also important that, as a senator, my constituents feel comfortable contacting my local staff and I for assistance.”
Some useful documents found at Blake’s district office include PACE/PACENET and Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications; information on living wills, student financial assistance programs, and fishing and boating; Pennsylvania drivers’ and commercial drivers’ manuals and other PennDOT forms; birth certificate and notary applications; voter registration forms; state grant booklets; and booklets on veterans services.
