Senators Blake, Boscola, Solobay and Yudichak

HARRISBURG, January 18, 2011 – – State Sen. John P. Blake today provided the following statement regarding the inauguration of Governor Tom Corbett that took place today in Harrisburg.

“I’d like to extend congratulations and most sincere best wishes to Governor Corbett as he takes the reins of the executive branch of state government on Tuesday January 18th. Individuals and families in the 22nd District — and indeed across the entire state — are looking to their new Governor and to their elected legislators for courageous, thoughtful and responsible leadership that will improve the quality of life in this Commonwealth.

With our economy struggling and tough budget decisions looming we must be vigilant in our attention to the essential needs of our most vulnerable citizens while we work together to foster economic growth and prosperity.

I look forward to working with Governor Corbett and the members of his cabinet in the coming legislative session.”
